Swingers City is Celebrating its 2nd Birthday with FREE Crazy Golf and Half Price Champagne
Posted on June 6, 2018 by James
On Monday 4th June, Swingers City will be celebrating its 2nd birthday! To mark this momentous occasion, Swingers City will be offering FREE crazy golf for all (first come, first served, subject to availability), all day. There will also be half price champagne, an exclusive £5 birthday cocktail, £5 street food plus balloons and birthday cake to complete the celebrations.
Over the last two years Swingers City has gone from strength and strength and established itself as one of London’s most popular and innovative leisure concepts, where over 250,000 people have enjoyed:
- Five cocktail drenched bars
- Street food from some of London’s leading restaurateurs: Pizza Pilgrims, Patty&Bun, Bubbledogs, Hoppers, Le Bab and DF Mexico
- Two 9-hole crazy golf courses: The Lighthouse and The Windmill
- A two-storey, free standing clubhouse, complete with a Tanqueray No. TEN gin terrace
To say thank you for another incredible year, Swingers City is inviting fans to enjoy a round of crazy golf on them.
Free golf slots will be allocated for walk-ins on a first come first served basis, so if there’s a little wait to get on the course celebrations can be kick-started at one of their five bars that will be serving half price Perrier Jouet Brut champagne at £35 a bottle or £6 a glass. The drinks menu will also feature an exclusive birthday cocktail, Every Second Counts – made with aged Rye Whisky, apple juice, vanilla syrup, lemon, Friexenet Cordon Negro and orange zest.
Guests can grab a bite from DF Mexico, Patty&Bun or Pizza Pilgrims who will all be offering selected dishes at the special celebratory price of £5 throughout the day.
Matt Grech-Smith, MD of the Institute of Competitive Socialising said: “We all know that normally a 2nd birthday party is not something to be enjoyed as it most likely involves screaming toddlers, exhausted adults, limited alcohol and best case scenario, a Colin the Caterpillar cake to eat. The Swingers City 2nd Birthday is the exception to the rule: with free crazy golf, half price Perrier Jouet champagne and £5 streetfood, this will, without doubt, be the only 2nd birthday party you’ll have fun at”.
Notes to editors:
The free golf will be walk-up only and normal walk-up rules will apply:
Sign up in person at reception for daytime slots (12.30pm-6.30pm)
Or for evening slots (6.30pm onwards) from 6pm.
The crazy golf will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Birthday offer only available at SWINGERS CITY. Each person will be able to claim spaces for up to 4 people.

Swingers has two 9-hole crazy golf courses – the Lighthouse Course and the Windmill Course. As you’d hope, the Windmill Course features a large moving windmill and the Lighthouse Course has a beautiful illuminated lighthouse. Players will need skill and a bit of luck to take them round the combination of dog legs, jumps, sand traps and loop-the-loops. The courses have the feel of a secret English country garden, filled with trees, ivies, creepers and wild flowers that cover the reclaimed timbers and pergolas that surround the different holes. Swingers have taken everything that visitors loved about the pop-up course and expanded on them for the permanent site, while creating surroundings that are almost like an immersive theatrical set.

Co-Founders + Managing Directors
Matt and Jeremy have an extensive experience of creating and marketing exciting events and brands. Together, they founded Rough Hill in 2004 and the company rapidly became the UK’s largest organiser of youth events (selling over a million tickets a year), as well as becoming a youth and experiential marketing agency. Rough Hill was bought by Chime Plc in 2012 and placed into the international ad agency VCCP where Matt and Jeremy worked on events and experiential campaigns for clients that included O2, Coca-Cola and McLaren.
At the end of 2014, Matt and Jeremy completed their earn-out at VCCP and left to set up the Institute of Competitive Socialising. Their first venture was the Swingers pop-up which ran for 5 months at Factory 7 in Shoreditch. Following the overwhelmingly positive reaction to the pop-up which was sold-out for its entire run, Matt and Jeremy set to work on the permanent Swingers site which opened in the City of London in an 18000 square foot site in May 2016. The permanent site comprises 2 nine hole crazy golf courses, 5 bars and 3 street food vendors and turned over £10m in its first year.
Swingers City won the CGA Peach Award in 2017 for Best Newcomer and was nominated for Best Experience at the GQ Food and Drink Awards 2018.
