Press release: July 2017

Swingers announce DF/MEXICO as a new street food vendor from 27th July 2017

Swingers are excited to welcome DF/MEXICO, the modern Mexican diner, to join Patty&Bun and Pizza Pilgrims as their newest street food vendor from 27th July 2017.

DF/MEXICO, the brainchild of Thomasina Miers and Mark Selby, opened three years ago and has already established itself as an expert in modern Mexican cuisine. The restaurant, which fuses Mexican flavours with American diner culture, is thrilled to be serving its delicious Mexican dishes for guests to enjoy at Swingers.

Since opening in May 2016, over 500,000 guests have passed through the doors of Swingers, experiencing amazing street food, delicious cocktails and crazy golf in a creative and unique setting. This winning combination has established Swingers as London’s number one destination for competitive socialising.

DF/MEXICO – the perfect addition to the street food offering at Swingers – will serve an extensive variety of Mexican delights. The menu will include favourites from their restaurants: a selection of tacos, nachos and chilli fries. Highlights include:

Two large soft flour tortillas topped with crunchy slaw and salsa.
Fillings include:

Crispy fried buttermilk chicken, ancho rub, slaw and chipotle mayo

Slow-cooked Yucatecan pork, achiote and citrus marinade, sour cream, slaw and pink pickled onions

Battered MSC cod, red cabbage slaw, chipotle mayo, lime and crema

Roasted courgettes, sweet peppers, slaw, siracha salsa and pumpkin seeds

DF Nachos
Corn tortilla chips with pinto beans, cheese sauce, tomato salsa, crema, avocado mojo and pickled onions

Sides and sharers

Guacamole & Tortilla Chips

Cheesy Fries

Chilli Fries

Matt Grech-Smith, MD of the Institute of Competitive Socialising said: “When we were thinking of a street food vendor to complement Patty&Bun and Pizza Pilgrims at Swingers, we knew Mexican food would be an absolute winner. We love DF/MEXICO’S fresh, colourful, spicy dishes and know that Swingers’ guests will too”.

Thomasina Miers and Mark Selby said, “We are thrilled to be bringing our tacos to Swingers this summer. We hope everyone will love getting stuck into our modern twist on fresh Mexican flavours at DF/MEXICO after a round of crazy golf.

Pizza Pilgrims

Nude Coffee Roasters

You don’t need to be playing crazy golf to come and enjoy some of London’s best street food at Swingers:

DF/MEXICO: Imagine a Mexicana mama moved to New York and decided life wasn’t half bad, so she started to mix up her delish Mexican comfort food with some modern US influences. There you have DF/MEXICO, the newest addition to take up residence at Swingers, serving up delicious tacos and loaded nachos.

Patty & Bun: Using the best of British, hungry putters can expect a menu tailored to the Swingers crowd.  Expect some of the beloved P&B classics, including the infamous Ari Gold. Guests will be introduced to newcomer the ‘Colin Montgomery’. Named in honour of the pro-Scottish golfer, the ‘Colin Montgomery’ is a mouth-watering combination of aged beef patty with Streaky bacon, Montgomery cheddar, P&B’s Special sauce, Lettuce, Ketchup and a Seeded Brioche.

Pizza Pilgrims: Old friends of Swingers, Pizza Pilgrims were resident through the Swingers pop-up back in 2015. They’re back at the permanent site, and this time instead of their van, they’ve got a full-on pizza oven, which means that they can offer a menu that, in size, isn’t far off what they offer in their restaurants. Their Swingers menu features a mouth-watering selection of pizzas and calzone and is perfectly rounded off with their decadent Nutella pizza ring.

Swingers is open from Midday, every day, and welcomes guests from lunchtime onwards for food (eat-in or takeaway), drinks and crazy golf – in any combination. During the daytime, great coffee is essential and to that end Swingers is pleased to be home to Nude @ Swingers, an in-house coffee counter from London coffee maestros Nude Coffee Roasters. They serve their full range of artisan coffees – to drink in or take away – from midday until 6pm, at which time their excellent espresso finds its way into the Swingers signature espresso martinis.

Corporate Sales:

Private areas and packages available for groups of 12 – 500 people.

Crazy Golf:

£10-13 per person per 9-hole round

Entry to the venue to enjoy the bars and street food is free of charge

Swingers has two 9-hole crazy golf courses – the Lighthouse Course and the Windmill Course. As you’d hope, the Windmill Course features a large moving windmill and the Lighthouse Course has a beautiful illuminated lighthouse. Players will need skill and a bit of luck to take them round the combination of dog legs, jumps, sand traps and loop-the-loops. The courses have the feel of a secret English country garden, filled with trees, ivies, creepers and wild flowers that cover the reclaimed timbers and pergolas that surround the different holes. Swingers have taken everything that visitors loved about the pop-up course and expanded on them for the permanent site, while creating surroundings that are almost like an immersive theatrical set.

Swingers is home to central London’s first crazy golf tournament – The Swingers Open, in association with Tanqueray No.TEN. It has run since April, with the Grand Final this September when competitors will compete for an all-expenses paid, first-class trip to Paris.
