The Crystal Maze

Meri Mance PR have been working with The Crystal Maze since inception, supporting the project from its beginnings as a crowdfunding project. Not that the crowdfunding stage of the project should be underestimated; The Crystal Maze surpassed its Indiegogo £500,000 goal in less than a week. The total funds raised were nearly double the initial goal – more specifically, a spectacular total of £927,252.

Meri Mance PR’s success for the initial project came predominantly from digital and online press – months before The Crystal Maze had even begun construction, MMPR generated a buzz accross the country, with online coverage alone receiving an estimated 50 million views (a combined AVE value of over £1 million) and 57,300 social shares, showcasing MMPR’s ability to identify trends and generate excitement nationally.

The venue launched to the public on 15th March 2016 and has since seen a huge amount of publicity, making it one of the most popular live experiences in London, with tickets selling out up until March 2017 and at record breaking speed; MMPR have continued to generate buzz and excitement around The Crystal Maze through regional and national, online and print coverage.

The success of The Crystal Maze Live Experience and the discussion surrounding it, has now prompted a return of Britain’s most watched television game show to its home on Channel 4 for a one-off Stand Up to Cancer special this October, which will be filmed at the London Live Experience.
