THE NAME
Robespierre was the father of the french revolution… the father of french democracy… who also emptied the aristocrats libraries of many fabulous books that were hidden under the French national library in Paris, until they were released to public viewing for the first time in January 2008. Some of these copperplate prints … rather wicked/naughty in nature…are the basis of this revolutionary new interior design collection.

Why revolutionary? Robespierre europe┬┤s designs are essentially based on historical porn… naughtily but nicely interpretted. Beginning with the France of the 1600-1700┬┤s, a historical tour of eroticism guides the direction of the collection. THE PEOPLE
Caroline Barth and Flea Hoefl-Freifrau von L├Âhneysen are the founders of Robespierre Europe.
Caroline Barth is based in Berlin. Her formal training being from RISD ( Rhode Island School of Design ), and has a history in design including art director for the Hearst magazine Town & Country and design studios mostly fashion realted in NY.
Flea Hoefl-Freifrau von L├Âhneysen is also based in Berlin. A trained lawyer, she also runs the largest and longest running music promotion agency in Germany, Guerilla Music Promotion.
